Koester Performance Research is releasing a new software program, called Keyboard Wizard. This simple program helps you determine the Windows keyboard settings that best meet your needs. It was developed with input from participants in the UCP/CLASS Community Skill Building Program.
Make Sure Your Keyboard Settings Match Your Needs
If you or someone you know has physical difficulty with typing, try Keyboard Wizard. Keyboard Wizard helps you determine whether a change in settings will benefit you and makes the changes so you don't have to. Just type a sentence into Keyboard Wizard, and it will determine if there are adjustments to the Windows keyboard settings that may make typing faster and easier.
Would Keyboard Wizard Help Me?
Do you have any difficulty typing capital letters or certain types of punctuation? If so, the Windows Sticky Keys feature may be helpful. Do keys repeat faster than you can control them, for instance, causing the cursor to overshoot the desired location when using the arrow keys on the keyboard? An adjustment to the repeat rate may help you out. The Keyboard Wizard can adjust these settings automatically for you to make typing easier and more productive.

How Does It Work?
Keyboard Wizard walks you through several steps:

- View recommendations
- Try the recommended settings for yourself

The whole process takes only about 5 minutes and you can run Keyboard Wizard as often as you like to be sure your settings always meet your needs.
What’s the Catch?
This is a full version of the program that is available for free for a short time for you to use and evaluate. After you have used the Keyboard Wizard for a couple of weeks, you will be asked to complete a brief survey about your experience with the program. Completing the survey is optional, but it will help us make sure that the software meets your needs.
