On Saturday June 19, 2010 WDVE and BUD LIGHT sponsored the 4th Annual (Jim and Randy’s) South Side Summer Open. The morning began with a 10:00 am registration at the Double Wide with a live band, Gene the Werewolf getting the golfers motivated. This one day event comprised of foursomes who traveled the South Side to shoot rounds of golf at 14 different establishments. The holes that were designed by each location proved to be unique, challenging and creative. This was the first year we completely sold out of with over 150 teams registered for the event. The evening concluded at Mullen’s, where prizes were awarded, for the best score at each hole, by WDVE’s own Jim Krenn, and Randy Bauman. Pictures from the event can be found in our Scrapbook section.

UCP/CLASS is extremely appreciative of WDVE and BUD LIGHT for their sponsorship of this event. Over the past four years the South Side Summer Open has raised approximately $40,000. DVE will be receiving this year’s Benefactor Award at the 18th Annual Community Heroes Awards Dinner to be held on Wednesday October 20, 2010 at the Westin Convention Center Pittsburgh.
