Information & Referral

The Information and Referral service gathers and distributes information on disability topics and programs services for individuals with disabilities in Western Pennsylvania. This free service is open to the public and is partially funded by United Way of Allegheny County.

The Information & Referral Specialist will provide complete follow through on any inquiry, including:

• Various disabilities including but not limited to cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, spina bifida, stroke, and visual impairments
• Temporary shelters for individuals with a housing crisis 
• Transportation providers for individuals with disabilities 
• Contractors specializing in accessible homes and businesses
• Services for children with disabilities
• The latest rehabilitative treatments and medical experts
• Companies that help with prescription costs
