Program Coordinator

Dori Ortman

Dori Ortman is the Program Coordinator for UCP Kids. In this role, she oversees UCP Kids’ various programs and services including the Family Partnership program, F.U.N. for Everyone trainings, TEACHER program, the UCP Cares educational workshop series, and the popular UCP Kids’ eNewsletter. Dori is the co-author of "Together is Better," a guide to fostering community inclusion for individuals with disabilities, and has also developed educational materials on topics such as inclusive recreation and education, increasing interactions between children of various abilities, and more. These materials have been widely used in trainings and conferences, classroom settings, handbooks, and other venues imparting skills and knowledge necessary to work with children of varying abilities in a variety of settings. She regularly conducts parent workshops and networking events and often serves as a consultant to school districts and families.

Her journey has taken her to a multitude of conferences, and she has been a featured speaker at many of them. Dori’s passion is working with children with varying abilities and their families, providing them with strategies for success and assisting them in advocating for their children. Dori resides in Hampton Township with her husband and their two children.
