Jeff Parker

 Jeff Parker is currently employed as the Human Resources Director and has oversight of UCP/CLASS’s facilities and administration as well. Before beginning his 11 years working at UCP/CLASS, Jeff served on the UCP Board’s Finance Committee making use of his funding administrator background overseeing pension investments at a Fortune 500 company. He was recruited from the Board to join the UCP/CLASS team in 1998 as Assistant Director to help begin UCP/CLASS’s Attendant Care Program.

He also developed UCP’s role of Administrative Entity (AE) for the Community Services Program for Persons with Physical Disabilities (CSPPPD) and as AE Project Director represented the state overseeing the administration of services from CSPPPD providers in 23 Western Pennsylvania counties.

As part of his responsibilities at UCP/CLASS , Jeff serves on the UCP/CLASS Safety Committee, the Forms Committee, the Public Policy Committee, and provides the staff support for UCP/CLASS’s Board of Directors’ Space, House, Personnel and Nominating Committees and coordinates the New Employee Orientations as well.

Jeff’s actives also include numerous advocacy roles in the community and while at UCP/CLASS he has served as Chair for the Pennsylvania Developmental Disability Council, the City of Pittsburg/Allegheny County Task Force on Disabilities, and the Committee for Accessible Transportation. He also serves as a board member on the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board and the Three Rivers Community Foundation.

Jeff is a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he received his B.S. degree even before the invention of calculators and PC’s. He has also always had a strong interest and concern in the accessibility of public transportation for persons with disabilities which he believes is the key not only to employment but social capital as well. His interest in inclusive transportation services for passengers with disabilities stems from his previous work as an Associate Transit Planner for the Port Authority of Allegheny County and ADA Service Coordinator at ACCESS.
