UCP/CLASS first purchased the building at 4638 Centre Avenue in 1980. Previously a grocery store then Fantastic Plastic, a disco in the heart of Oakland, the building was transformed into office spaces to hold all of the programs and services offered at UCP/CLASS.

Over the years, UCP/CLASS has expanded the programs and services offered to the community. As a result, the building needed to undergo renovations in order to accommodate the expected growth. In 2000, the offices were temporarily moved to the South Side in order for the renovation to begin. Upon returning from the South Side, the staff was met with a new working space large enough to fit all departments.

As growth continued, UCP/CLASS began to outgrow the Community Service Centre once again. Several additional office spaces were leased in the community in order to cope with the expansion of services. In 2010, UCP/CLASS purchased the building at 1400 South Braddock Avenue in Swissvale with plans to end the leases in the community and have all of the programs and services in one of the two locations.

The building at 4638 Centre Avenue is now home to the Public Policy Division, Community Skill Building Team, Vocational Services, Consumer Employer Resource Department, Fiscal Department, and the Multiple Sclerosis Service Society of UCP/CLASS.
